WELCOME TO THE 



The Western FederalChapter of the Central Region is a virtual chapter based out of Denver,Colorado.  Members are located anywhere from Washington, D.C. to Alaska, and even Iraq. Meetings are conducted through teleconferencing and presentations are delivered through the web or presented by teleconferencing along with power point presentations, making it easy to join and participate in the meetings.


The Western Federal Chapter was chartered on May 11, 1998

  • The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), an agency within the U. S. Department of the Interior, administers 258 million surface acres of America's public lands, located primarily in 12 Western States. The BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. The Property Management group develops policy, improves systems, manages and oversees several hundred million dollars in property assets throughout the Bureau. This includes nearly 200 Real Property facilities, personal property, fleet management, and quarters.
  • Western Area Power Administration markets and delivers reliable,cost-based hydroelectric power and related services within a 15-state region of the central and western U.S. We're one of four power marketing administrations within the U.S. Department of Energy whose role is to market and transmit electricity from multi-use water projects. Our transmission system carries electricity from 57 power plants operated by the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the International Boundary and Water Commission. Together, these plants have an  operating capacity of 9,159 megawatts.
